Pop/rock band The Busker will be taking their music on the Maltese roads thanks to an hour-long gig session with a difference – the performance will take place on a bus which will be stopping at different spots around the island.
The Busker, made up of Dario Genovese on guitar and vocals, Jean Paul Borg on percussion and David Grech on bass, have been active on the alternative scene for the past two years.
The band was born after Genovese and Borg, who had already worked together on other projects, decided to invest into a more long-term collaboration. The Busker blends 1960s pop and rock with folk and rock.
The band are fresh from the launch of their third EP, EP3. The upcoming gig will consist of an intimate, acoustic set with a theme that is based on psychedelic and will feature the debut of new member Luca Spiteri.
The performance is expected to be one of the group’s last in Malta before moving definitely to the UK.
The Busker Bus Gig takes place on August 30. The bus departs from outside Coach & Horses, Birkirkara at 9.30pm.
