Besides Sliema and St Julians, the whole island is affected by congestion in our small roads and driving has become a nightmare since the Arriva buses came to Malta.

To add insult to injury we are also faced with bad parking, especially by some of our Italian friends who park as if they are in Italy. This also makes our driving very frustrating.

One needs to plan for a journey time of 35 minutes if driving from Swieqi to Sliema Ferries and all this because of bad planning in the type of buses we inherited.

I am convinced that the majority of Maltese are against this type of buses, so why not get them changed without further delay to avoid all the congestion and inconvenience caused to drivers?

I look forward to the day when these big buses are changed to ones more suited to local circumstances.
