We residents of inner Swieqi spent over two years “fighting” to have a bus go through the village core. It was a circular one, leaving Valletta on the hour. After a couple of years we were lucky enough to have the bus leaving Valletta every 30 minutes.
Now we are in a terrible situation as no buses are going through Swieqi although the two bus stops in Triq is-Sidra say that bus No. 115 should pass through. Do the authorities expect us to walk for 20 minutes to St Andrew’s Road in this heat or lashing rain?
If we leave our car at Pembroke Park and Ride, the expense is the same as if we went by car.
No wonder leaving Swieqi at certain times now takes us ages, as everyone is using one’s car resulting in waste of energy and pollution.
Amalgamating bus Nos. 64 and 66 makes sense but removing the circular line does not.
