Police are investigating someone who fired shots at a bus shelter in Tal-Ibraġ, shattering the glass, on Sunday night.

The shots were allegedly fired at around 10pm in Ibraġ Street. Residents told Times of Malta they were watching television when they heard a sound like fireworks, except it was too close.

Seconds later they heard glass shattering and, running on to their balcony, saw the damaged shelter. They immediately called the police but said they did not see any cars nor anyone fleeing on foot.
