A person who uses every crumb of criticism to gain political points must be sick in mind.
Winston Churchill once described a fanatic as one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject.
My letter (‘Funny business on the buses’, July 23), was deliberately meant to warn public transport commuters to watch out for dishonest drivers (not all) who take advantage of mostly old-age pensioners and tourists when boarding buses.
One the other hand, the driver who was involved in this mini-scam was such a talkative and amiable person that he momentarily distracted us.
The letter was also meant to serve as a wake-up call for Transport Malta to watch out for this type of misdemeanour, which can deprive the company of much-needed liquidity.
