A drug addicted Arriva bus driver yesterday admitted to stealing money from ticket sales amounting to some €6,000 to fuel his craving.

Paul Camilleri, 30, from Mqabba had stolen the money when collecting money from passengers for tickets in May last year and the preceding months.

Magistrate Neville Camilleri gave him a chance to pay back the remainder of the money that he owes before sentencing in March.

Lawyers Franco Debono and Marin Camilleri appeared for Mr Camilleri.
