A bus driver suffered slight injuries in a collision in Rabat yesterday morning.

The police said the accident had taken place in Triq it-Tgħabija, corner with Vjal il-Ħaddiem, at 7.45am when there were two passengers on the bus.

The bus, its driver a 33-year-old man from Żabbar, was headed to Baħrija from Mdina when it was involved in a collision with a delivery van driven by a 25-year-old man from Birkirkara.

Civil Protection Department personnel helped the driver out of the bus and he was transferred to Mater Dei Hospital.

Malta Public Transport said it was investigating the accident. It said a passenger had also sustained slight injuries.
