A young man from Zimbabwe was yesterday jailed for five years after he admitted to burgling three houses last month.

Priviledge Mupimhidzi, 26, from Birkirkara, who holds dual citizenship, broke into houses at his hometown between January 6 and 30, taking items worth thousands of euro.

He admitted before Magistrate Neville Camilleri to handling stolen property, relapsing and committing a crime during the operative period of a suspended jail term.

Police Inspectors Jonathan Ransley and Elton Taliana prosecuted.
