On March 12, I was waiting on bus stop Katarina, in front of the M4 market in Attard, to go to Valletta. Bus number 101 (at the wheel was a driver whose PIN number I have) arrived from the direction of Valletta in Triq il-Linja but instead of going into Misraħ Kola, turned left into Triq il-Mosta, missing eight bus stops.

On boarding the bus at another bus stop, I told the driver that he was leaving people behind. What he told me is not fit for print.

At Valletta terminus I told an Arriva officer what happened and was asked to point the driver out. This I did but was twice threatened by the driver to go away or he would punch me and smash my face and this in front of the Arriva officer.

Old age pensioners should not be bullied by drivers

I lodged a complaint at the Arriva mobile office and was told that I would be contacted from Qormi head office. So far nobody has. It seems Arriva customer care just do not care.

I also lodged a report at the Valletta police station and another with Transport Malta where I was told that I would be contacted but, again, nothing. I hope that Arriva, Transport Malta and the police, will take all steps to ensure that old age pensioners like myself can make use of public transport without being threatened with physical violence by bully bus drivers.
