A terminally-ill teenager has spoken publically for the first time after her online “bucket list” of wishes became an internet sensation.

Alice Pyne, 15, created the blog called Alice’s Bucket List in which she described how she has been fighting cancer for the last four years.

Alice, from Ulverston, Cumbria, lives with her parents, Simon and Vicky, and sister, Milly, 12, who received a Children of Courage award in 2007 for her own battle with a genetic bone disorder called Crouzon syndrome.

Alice started the blog earlier this month, telling how hospital scans showed Hodgkin’s lymphoma – a cancer of the white blood cells – was spreading through her body and that her mother had encouraged her to create a wish list.

Her appeal led to a flood of offers as her webpage became an internet hit with Twitter followers, as it became one of the most talked about subjects worldwide.

Alice told ITV1’s Granada Reports: “I wrote it just to go out to my friends and obviously they have sent it on. It was never meant to be this big and it’s huge now and it’s amazing, the kind people who are offering things, it’s really kind, it’s amazing.”

Alice said she is now “busy most day” and revealed she has ticked off two more wishes, to enter her beloved dog in a show and see Take That.

“I have enjoyed going to Take That and meeting them and that was just amazing,” she said.

Alice took part in the charity dog show this weekend with her Labrador dog Mabel and scooped a number of prizes.

“I’ve always wanted to show Mabel and there’s never been anywhere we can take her,” she said.

“I did not expect any of this when I put it on my list. This is incredible. It’s amazing.”

She wrote on her blog: “This is my happy post! Yesterday I had another best day.

“I had my very own dog show and Mabel did really well and we won loads of rosettes and I didn’t stop smiling all day.”

She also blogged about going to see Take That at their show in Manchester recently.

“I felt dead important because we got to drive right up to the front and everyone knew who I was and they just let us walk right threw,” Alice wrote.
