Marsovin recently won a bronze medal for its D.O.K. Superior Malta wine, Caravaggio Merlot 2010 in the 2012 Decanter World Wine Awards in the UK.

Caravaggio Merlot 2010 is produced from family-owned vineyards in Malta. The wine is described as a “concentrated fruity red wine with intense aromas of mature figs, dried plums and ripe forest berries combined with supple velvety tannins and a pleasantly long lingering finish”.

Marsovin director Jeremy Cassar said: “We are particularly proud of this result, since this wine competed with other world-famous wines. The significance of this award is one of acknowledgement.

“Professional wine tasters from all over the world felt that the quality of this wine was worth a bronze medal, a proof that we can produce quality wines.”
