The soft, modern touch of Alessandro Dell’Acqua returns to the world of the Brioni woman for the second season.

The result is a precise yet extremely warm look for autumn/winter 2011/2012, encapsulating the ultimate in glamour and the desire to convey a more feminine and elaborate elegance.

Devoré lace-effect prints, duchess silk and exclusive silk cady. Cashmere, matte crocodile and macramé lined with chantilly lace. Silk georgette enlivened by clusters of tiny pyrite stones. The extreme luxury of each fabric conveys an almost minimalist, no-frill femininity. Femininity that is multifaceted and very unique.

The silhouette is vertical and severe – lines that melt downward from the shoulders. Structured shapes are complemented by the monochromatic styling. The graphic overcoat is defined against the bare leg. The tulle and chiffon layered dress moves with sophisticated sensuality. Reminiscent of the 1970s disco era but with an entirely modern look –contemporary and less focused on cut and more on relaxed elegance.

Bursts of violet and fuchsia amid iconic black, dusty pink and flesh tones. For next winter, colour is used to bring touches of light and personality to a palette ofneutral tones.

An understated look of sophistication is injected with personality, chic, and a little severity to create a more provocative elegance.
