Imagine the most popular waltzes. Imagine the grandeur of a concert in Vienna. Imagine the class and zeal of the Vienna Ballet.

All this is coming to Malta with Viennese Night – a musical kaleidoscope of world-famous Austrian waltzes, polkas and marches being held at the Grand Masters Suite at the Hilton tomorrow.

The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by internationally acclaimed Italian conductor Damiano Binetti, will be giving a gala concert featuring a unique selection of Viennese music by Strauss, Lehar, Kalmann, Waldteufel and Suppe – symbols of an era that filled hearts with emotions, warmth, romance and passion.

The night will also feature upcoming Czech soprano Luisa Albrechtova and dancers from the Vienna Ballet.

“Normally, for the Maltese public to experience such an event, they have to go abroad,” said Michelle Zerafa, director of Malta Art Events, the organisers. “Therefore Viennese Night is bringing such a magical experience to Malta.

All the artists involved are of topmost calibre and will definitely make the concert an unforgettable experience for those attending. “It is our intention to organise other similar events in the future, thus presenting the Maltese audiences with the opportunity to enjoy topmost level artistic events while celebrating their favourite feasts,” added Ms Zerafa.

From the Emperor’s Waltz to the Pizzicato Polka, to the Carmen Overture, Viennese Night will be a night of class, musical excellence and exquisite entertainment.
