Passengers on board an Emirates flight from Dubai had a brief scare yesterday when the plane gained height on its approach to Malta and the destination changed on the in-flight monitors. A light aircraft had been damaged while landing , blocking the runway for 10 minutes, although no one was injured. As the Emirates plane aborted landing, the on-board monitors indicated Tunis as the destination, causing a stir among passengers. However, the original route was soon back on the monitors when the airliner circled for re-approach and landed as planned after the damaged light aircraft was removed.
