A disused space covering an area of about 1,800 square metres in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq has been transformed into a modern playground and garden through a government investment of about €450,000. The project, carried out in collaboration with the Naxxar local council, involved installing street lighting, a fountain and paving the area. Hidden underground is a reservoir that can store up to 500 cubic metres of water. The garden will be inaugurated today by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.
