Golden Harvest is recalling its Family White Loaves because of the possible presence of small pieces of soft food grade rubber that originated from a defective conveyor belt.

Affected batches may include batch A1 with a best before (BB) date of November 11, batch A2, having a BB date of November 12 and batch A5, with a November 8 BB date.

The rubber pieces measure about 5mm by 5mm by 7mm.

Anyone who has a loaf from the batches in question should return it to the company’s factory or shop to be replaced.

All returned loaves will be tested in an independent laboratory and a report would be issued if this was not a solitary case, the company said.
