A shocking case of drug trafficking involving a 10-year-old boy was exposed yesterday when the police stopped a child fleeing a crime scene with 45 grams of cocaine.
He was with his 21-year-old sister and her 23-year-old boyfriend in a Pietà apartment on Sunday morning when it was raided following a tip-off, the police said.
As officers entered the apartment, the boy tried to run away – carrying a bag containing the drugs and weighing scales – but was caught.
The two adults were arrested and the child was also questioned and released. His parents were questioned at the police headquarters and investigations are still under way.
Magistrate-on-duty Joseph Apap Bologna is holding an inquiry.
