Former Malta international striker Daniel Bogdanovic will complete the rest of the season with SK Victoria Wanderers in the Gozitan top flight, sources told Times of Malta.

The Wanderers want to maintain their title challenge by beefing up their squad following the injury to Joseph Vella while strike partner Peter Anizoba is currently serving suspension.

Bogdanovic, 33, is no newcomer to the Gozitan league having played for Għajn-sielem in a title-winning campaign back in 2004-05.

He started the current season with Flo-riana but was released by the Premier Lea-gue club in November following a decision by the MFA Complaints Board.

Another player joining the Wanderers this month is Shaun Attard, formerly of Oratory Youths.

Attard is currently leading the scorers’ list on nine goals, the same as Xewkija’s Dene Shields and Saturday Nanapere, of Victoria Hotspurs.

Goalkeeper Simon Agius also sustained an injury in last week’s match against Victoria Hotspurs. However, the Wanderers are hoping to have their regular no.1 back in goal for their next match as the injury is not as serious as first thought.
