Boeing first-quarter earnings jumped nearly 20 per cent, handily beating analysts’ estimates and showing little impact from the 787 Dreamliner problems, according to the quarterly report released yesterday. Boeing stood by its sales and earnings forecasts for the full year, reassuring investors that it expects to deliver more than 60 of its 787 Dreamliner planes this year.
