One can safely assume that some good artists are poor promoters of their own work. So some artists and their works remain unknown. This applies also to writers.

A board set up to evaluate and promote (perhaps by creating a website) good literary works submitted could be a solution. Highlighting strengths and weaknesses, the board could recommend, highly recommend, or refrain from recommending works for publication.

Board members would ideally draw separate reports, since evaluating literary works can be very subjective. It could be left up to individual members whether to review just a section or the complete work submitted as long as this is stated in the report.

Setting up such a board could be a benefit and a service to writers and publishers.
