Referring to a testimonial given by Jennifer Cornthwaite that appeared in the article The 0.04 Per Cent Mother on Thursday, Mater Dei Hospital clarified that it was the one to bring over the blood units from the UK, not the Blood Transfusion Unit or the National Transfusion Service.

No blood units were brought from the Netherlands as stated in the testimonial.

When contacted, the president of the Malta Blood Donors Association, Philip Chircop, said that the hospital’s Blood Bank was “inadvertently left out of the testimonial”.
