Ron Quinn from Griffith University has researched a traditional indigenous treatment used in Australia’s remote Kimberley region to stem blood loss and numb pain. Prof. Griffith’s research has led to the university jointly filing patents with an Aboriginal community related to the healing properties of the plant involved.
