Famalco Group, based in Attard, will be organising a blood drive on Friday in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service. The event forms part of the group’s CSR activities, which aim to give back to the community.

“Blood is constantly required, and two major traffic accidents can be enough to drain Malta’s blood bank. There are over 300,000 people eligible to donate blood but only five per cent do so. Therefore, we are invite the public, together with the group’s employees, to dedicate half an hour from their day and a unit of blood for this noble cause. Being part of this initiative is our way of giving back to the community,” said managing director Hermann Mallia.

Those interested are invited to visit the Mobile Blood Donation Unit between 8.30am and 1pm outside Famalco Group’s head office in Pitkali Road, Attard. Donors are requested to bring their ID card or driving licence. For more information, call 2339 2347.
