During the Eurovision Song Contest the voting patterns of certain countries clearly indi-cated that their votes go to their neighbours.

Therefore, I suggest giving the juries 50 per cent of the votes and that 75 per cent of those voting must be persons from the world of music and not necessarily from the countries participating – to avoid favouritism.

Then I would give 25 per cent of the votes to the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) public and the other 25 per cent from other countries that are not in the EBU or taking part.

I am sure such a system would eliminate bloc votes going to neighbouring countries.
