Mdina’s bastions, the Mrieħel aqueducts and Port de Bombes in Floriana will be switched off for an hour tonight as Malta joins other countries worldwide to mark Earth Hour.

Lights will go out between 8.30 and 9.30 p.m. as part of the event to raise awareness about environmental issues.

More than 130 countries participated last year.
