On the occasion of Christmas and the start of the New Year, Archbishop Paul Cremona and Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca will exchange greetings with members of the public on Sunday between 9 a.m. and noon at the Archbishop’s Curia in Floriana. Entrance will be through the door of St Calcedonius in Vincenzo Bugeja Street (and not the main door).The Archbishop will address those present at 10. The Curia has cancelled the annual Christmas party as a sign of respect following the demise of Bishop Annetto Depasquale. Instead, Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated.
On New Year’s Day, in the morning, the Bishops will be present at the Archbishop’s Palace in Valletta to exchange greetings with state dignitaries and trade union officials.
