Malta’s bishops yesterday listed a number of principles which should guide the electorate in Saturday’s European Parliament elections.

They mentioned the right to life from conception until natural death; the strengthening of the natural family based on marriage between a man and a woman; the right to work and a decent pay; solidarity and subsidiarity in society; humane treatment for migrants and assistance to help them integrate; and respect for the environment.

The bishops urged the faithful to vote and promote these values in the building of the European project.
