After all the debates, arguments and opinions. After all the inconvenience and loss of trade suffered by all commercial outlets, the pedestrianisation of Bisazza Street, in Sliema is now almost complete. But has it been worth it when people are so indifferent and abusive? Already the street is peppered with sandwich boards and other sorts of commercial adverts. Garbage and other waste are still being dumped wherever and, most annoying (to say the least), are the dog owners who believe they have a sacrosanct right to walk their dogs and let them urinate wherever they fancy: shop fronts, bollards and any other object that comes within their range. I firmly believe that if these issues are not addressed with immediate effect it would all have been a massive waste.
