Bird shooting is a cruel sport. Now one may argue that in Spain they practise bull-fighting – which is also a very cruel sport. However, two wrongs do not make a right.

In is indeed sad that hunters do not consider the pain that birds go through when they are shot at and do not die immediately. It is a very painful death.

To make matters worse, spring hunting is still alive.

What harm does a bird cause us? What fun can one get in shooting and killing a defenceless bird? What senseless killing!

I hope there will come a day when bird shooting will be completely abolished.

It is possible – and this is when hunters start educating themselves and realise that this is a barbaric sport.
