I would like to reply to Gustav Wehner’s letter published on April 20 in which he states that the Germans only kill “birds produced by ourselves, chickens and turkeys”.

This is just not true! Germany, like most northern European countries, has a large number of hunters who kill hundreds of thousands of birds every year!

The correspondent should get his facts right before judging others. He needs to take the plank out of his own eye before trying to wipe the sawdust from the eyes of the Maltese people.

An old Polish saying sums it up: “It’s not your monkey, not your circus.”
