No-one is above the law and that includes Birdlife Malta and its followers, the hunters’ federation said last night.

FKNK was reacting to Birdlife criticism of the federation’s lodging of complaints with the police over what it saw as defamatory comments posted on timesofmalta.com.

The federation said no one should be permitted to write libellous comments without being brought to justice.

It also said it had not filed the police reports just before Christmas, as Birdlife stated, but on May 2 and 21, 2012, soon after the “slanderous comments” were published.
