The hunting federation said yesterday the Data Protection Commissioner imposed a €250 administrative fine on Birdlife Malta for uploading personal data on its website in breach of the Data Protection Act.

FKNK secretary Lino Farrugia said Birdlife “ignored a serious warning served by the Data Protection Commissioner regarding the breach on December 22, 2011”.

He said the federation reported the matter to the Data Protection Commissioner after Birdlife uploaded personal data of FKNK representatives.
