Heritage Malta’s spectacular premises in Bighi will later this month serve as the backdrop to a live three-hour concert by internationally acclaimed theatre organist Claire Baluci.

The concert, in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, is being held on September 22 at 8pm.

It is her second in aid of the President’s charity, following her debut solo concert in 2001.

It will include the participation of at least 70 guest musicians, including a number of well-known performers, such as Jacqueline Micallef Grimaud, Nicole Weaving, Luke Dalli, Gianni Selvaggi and the choir Ensemble Vocale.

There will also be CBal Music Productions choreographers and dancers, as well as dancers and models from One For All And All For One Organisation and the Malta Dance Sport Association.

They will perform to Dr Baluci’s live playing of popular numbers from classical to pop, big band to jazz, soul to Latino.

A high-end multimedia and light show is in the hands of Studio 7 and the concert will be followed by a party featuring entertainment by DJ Luke Funk until the early hours of the morning.

The event’s pre-announcement across digital social media has already generated a resounding response, both nationally and internationally.

It has been translated by overseas enthusiasts and fans and has appeared in the music media, encouraging followers to come to Malta specifically for the concert.

On the night, the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s new conductor will be attending to search for new music technologies and strategies.

Promoters from Italy and Sicily will film and transmit the concert on Italian radio and television; as will the Böhm team from Germany.
