I refer to the article Bidnija Residents Fuming Over Winery (June 25). Contrary to what Stephen Galea has stated, the 30 residents who are objecting to this application are people who like me have been living there for over 36 years.

The Mepa notice was not exhibited anywhere on the site before Mr Galea had obtained the outline plan.

Mr Galea may have many tumoli of vineyards but not in this area. He should have applied in the areas where he has the vineyards, possibly in Wardija. It is strange that he has applied in Bidnija and not in Wardija.

The Inspection Officer in Bidnija did not do his homework as he would have realised that the road is so narrow that there is only space for one car to pass and therefore any loading/unloading means that the winery would be blocking the road completely.

Bidnija is a quiet village and will be ruined by the project proposed by a selfish man!
