The skull cap worn by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI on the day of his abdication is now one of the valued exhibits at the new museum Il-Ħaġar - Heart of Gozo.

The zucchetto is a gift from Benedict. Mgr Alfred Xuereb, who served as personal secretary to the former Pontiff and is now first secretary to Pope Francis, presented the skull cap to Mgr Joseph Farrugia, coordinator of the newly-inaugurated museum.
