Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is in Germany for “final talks” over a potential move to Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bundesliga club revealed in a statement yesterday that Bendtner and his advisors had flown to Frankfurt in an attempt to finalise the deal.

Eintracht hope to confirm the Denmark international as their new signing in the next few days, as they prepare for Europa League football.

“On the initiative of the Danish player Nicklas Bendtner and his advisors final talks have been held today on Tuesday 9, 2013 in Frankfurt been the striker and Eintracht Frankfurt,” a club statement read.

“Sports director Bruno Hubner is in close contact with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, and the final decision regarding Bendtner should be taken in the next two days.”

Bendtner spent last season on loan at Juventus but the Serie A champions opted not to make the deal permanent after he failed to score a goal.
