Some letter writers, such as John Guillaumier, consider it arrogant, narrow-minded and bigoted for Christians to contend that the only path to God must be through Jesus of Nazareth. But the resurrection of Jesus established him as being the son of God and the subsequent historical record is extremely compelling and true.

Konrad Adenauer once said: “Outside of the resurrection of Jesus, I do not know of any other hope for this world.” He was right, because through it we can be forgiven, we can be reconciled with God and we can spend eternity with Him. The apostle Peter witnessed the extraordinary event and wrote: “We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.”

I believe Peter rather than Einstein, Larkin or someone else for that matter. He is exclaiming, “This is true. This is reality. This can be trusted. And, yes, this truth includes that which is contrary.”

In conclusion, for my second quote, I turn to Peter again: “And yet there will always be false teachers among you” (2 Peter 2:1).
