BeeSmart childcare centre in Santa Venera hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Puttinu Cares and Inspire. Over the past four years, it has raised almost €7,000. This year about €2,000 were collected.

These events offer families the opportunity to interact with other families within the community. Parents and children engage in these special events and activities to have fun, learn and strengthen their relationships.

Thanks to community involvement, these fundraisers become a reality, with many families making lavish donations.

Such events range from selling cookies on Valentine’s Day to markets and egg hunts for Easter. The childcare centre also held a musician’s fun day, an origami day, a sea imagination art project, a face-painting day, masks for Paw Fun Day, a hula hoop day, an 80s disco party and a generous Christmas hamper.

“We are very thankful to all the families who helped out, as well as all members of staff for their constant hard work,” said the centre’s director Fabianne Galea.
