Bayern Munich warmed up for the second half of the Bundesliga season with a resounding 4-0 win over German third-division side Rot-Weiss Erfurt yesterday.

Toni Kroos, Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and Bastian Schweinsteiger were all on target as coach Jupp Heynckes tested the players he is likely to send on to the field at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Friday night after a five-week winter break.

Bayern Munich lead the Bundesliga at the midway stage of the season by three points from Borussia Dortmund and Schalke and four from their next opponents Gladbach.
