A delegation from the Malta Racing Club (MRC) has travelled to Paris to attend a special annual race, the Prix des Rencontres Internationales du Trotteur Francais, being held at the Vincennes racetrack this weekend.

Experienced Maltese driver Noel Baldacchino will don the national red and white colours during this special occasion. He will take part in the seventh race of the day.

Johann Axisa, owner of Kakisis, the winner of this year’s Tazza l-Kbira final, has also been invited by the French horse racing federation SECF to attend this weekend’s activities. Kakisis was the French horse of the year in 2010 at Marsa with 55 points.

The Maltese delegation is headed by Matthew Brincat, the MRC chairman, and marketing director Mark Vella.
