A painting in acrylics of Valletta’s balconies by Anton Calleja, one of Malta’s foremost artists, will be gracing the cover of tomorrow’s issue of Perry’s real estate magazine, out with The Sunday Times.

Born in 1955, Mr Calleja has been involved in art from an early age, and is a self-taught painter. By the late 1970s, he had his first one-man show at the Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta.

He has participated in collective and solo exhibitions overseas and his work, including his trademark balconies and boats, is on display in public buildings as well as form-ing part of prestigious private art collections.

Besides featuring on the outer cover of the magazine, this work of art will be on display at the offices of Perry Limited in Tower Road, Sliema.
