Badger Co Ltd has just undertaken an investment of over €40,000 to purchase a fleet of 11 new racing karts. This investment also involved an upgrade of the racing track and facilities at Ta’ Qali and a refurbishment of the bar and bistro, with a revamped menu.

“The decision to invest in a new fleet was taken because we strongly feel that the service we give to the individual karting market together with the tourist and language student market needed to be brought at par with the excellent service we are already offering to the corporate market,” Edwin Gauci, general manager of Badger Co. Ltd, said.

“In fact, the project coincides with the start of the busy tourist season during which Badger Raceway’s Arrive and Drive sessions become very popular among tourists and language school students.”

Mr Gauci explained how the company had embarked on an intensive campaign to attract a wide spectrum of businesses to make use of the premises.

“Badger Co. Ltd has entered into a contract with a number of English Language schools which hold regular activities for students and also with major tour operators and destination management companies who organise karting events as part of their conference and incentives groups.”

The company has also upgraded the Pro Solid fleet of 10 karts by fitting them with bigger and more powerful engines. These karts, which appeal to the more experienced drivers, have all been upgraded to a 13hp 390cc engine.

The company also owns another fleet of 11 racing karts, known as the Emirates fleet, with all the karts equipped with a Honda 4-Stroke GX 270cc engine capable of reaching a top speed of 90 k m/h.
