Shanice Marie Spiteri was awarded the Aurobindo Award for the best presentation among final year pharmaceutical technology students during the Annual Pharmacy Symposium of the University of Malta’s Department of Pharmacy.

Spiteri’s research project, entitled ‘Drug Stability’ assessed medi­cine storage and disposal practices in Maltese households. It also evaluated the participants’ knowledge about the implication of storage conditions on active pharmaceutical ingredients and how the medication can be affected.
