A German company specialising in automation systems is expected to open shop in Malta with an initial investment of more than €600,000.

IBG Automation was oneof 36 projects approved by Malta Enterprise last year, said Economy Minister Chris Cardona. Malta’s operation would provide design, development and manufacturing services to test automation systems for German customers, he said.

The company is expected to employ “a substantial number of professionals in mechanics and engineering”.
