The Malta Communications Authority is seeking the views of interested stakeholders on proposed measures to provide itemised bills to mobile and fixed telephony subscribers.

Increased use of mobile services and new options such as mobile data resulted in significantly more complex itemised bills, the MCA said.

It said providing more basic, itemised bills could better assist subscribers to monitor their usage and expenditure.

It is seeking consultation on the minimum level of information to be included in the basic itemised bill, information to be included in the detailed itemised bill and the provision and format of both bill formats.

Responses must reach the MCA by 5pm on July 5.

The consultative document can be accessed at www.mca.org.mt.
