The highly acclaimed British author Jim Crace, who penned Being Dead and Harvest, will be a writer in residence at the University of Malta’s Faculty of Arts.
His appointment forms part of the creation of the faculty’s Creative Writing Programme, which acts as a forum to promote excellence in creative writing across its different expressions.
Mr Crace will be writer in residence from November 10 to December 20. He will conduct seminars and workshops, give talks, share insights and generally act as mentor, provide consultation and give manuscript advice.
The programme aims to give a service to aspiring and established writers, including individual manuscript consultations, public readings and talks, information on the publishing process and connections to both local and international writing communities.
