Roc-A-Tac, an Australian rock and roll band, will be the main act when the Farsons Great Beer Festival 2011 opens at Ta’ Qali Park tonight.

Formed in 2000, the band is the winner of the People’s Choice Award for Sydney’s Best Rock and Roll Bands. Roc-A-Tac will perform again on Tuesday.

The festival runs until July 31 opening at eight every night with entertainment on the main stage and the rock stage daily and food and beer available throughout.

Amber, Cruz and a comedy show by Zoo will feature on the main stage tomorrow while the rock stage will be occupied by Texanna and The Rifffs. Lyndsy Pace, Joe Demicoli and Cash Band will take the main stage on Sunday when the rock stage will be reserved to Dolls for Idols, Bletchley Park and Juuls Reggae Party.
