Chelsea, winners of the FA Cup three times since 2007, are top of our special statistics list for the past 10 years despite making an early exit from the competition last season.

Arsenal are second in the classification behind Chelsea as Manchester City, who won the FA Cup last season, have climbed five places, from 10th to fifth.

The chart denotes the progression of all 20 clubs in the Premier League from round three onwards for the last 10 seasons (2002-2011).

Points awarded: Three, four and five points for teams finishing in these same rounds in each of the last 10 tournaments. A quarter-final berth is valued six points and the two losing semi-finalists and beaten finalist get eight and nine points respectively. The winners earn a bonus of 10 points.

Only two teams in the Premier League – Arsenal and Chelsea – successfully advanced past the third-round hurdle in each of the last 10 seasons as shown in the list hereunder:
