Arriva and the General Workers’ Union have signed a collective agreement that will improve working conditions and salaries.
The union, which represents most of the public transport operator’s employees, said it will see substantial changes.
The union said it had organised four meetings for Arriva staff and explained the details of the collective agreement.
In total, 94.7 per cent of employees voted in favour.
It said Arriva employees will enjoy better work conditions, including shorter working hours, a new salary structure, compensation for cost of living increases, a separate financial benefit for bendy bus drivers, a disciplinary board, a night allowance, new shift patterns, health insurance, a performance bonus, improved sick leave, free transport to and from home, and special additional special leave for marriage, maternity and family bereavement.
