As a Brit living here for four years, one of the things that has always appealed to me about the Maltese lifestyle is the organised chaos of everything.

Nobody seems to know exactly what is going on but everything works itself out wonderfully. I’m not really one to be regimented in my private life, and I like not knowing what will happen next, so it suits me perfectly and I now consider this wonderful country my home. So I was a little concerned that a slice of this lifestyle was going to end once the bus system had been reformed.

I shouldn’t have worried.

After two months of using the new system, I can happily report that it’s business as normal. Buses running late, not turning up, packed to the rafters, driven atrociously and even some drivers not knowing the way. And the icing on the cake is a daily, one-way, journey that used to cost me 47c is now €1.30. So I would like to say a big thank you to Arriva for restoring my faith in the Maltese lifestyle and request that they keep it up for the future.

Well done Arriva, I still love Malta!
